I love this thing - rice, veggies, quinoa, you name it! January 4, 2008 Kristin E. Nelson (Santa Clara, CA USA) This has to be one of the best little inventions ever. I purchased this rice cooker several months ago after finding a steal on a remanufactured model via Amazon (remanufactured means that someone likely returned it or it was a store model - same functionality and warranties apply as per a new product). It was 1/3rd the original price, so I took the bait.
I'm glad I did. It's an attractive brushed stainless steal with chrome handles and a steamer attachment. It also comes with the rice spoon and the standard measuring cup. The unit is off when unplugged, and has cook and warm modes when operational. What's nice about the Cuisinart model is it looks good on your countertop, and the cord is retractable for easy storage. The bucket is non-stick so it's easy to clean.
This is used often in my household to steam vegetables and rice - and I've even used it on quinoa (one of nature's finest). All turned out fabulous.
If you're in the market for a rice cooker, this is a nice one at a nice price. Five stars for looks, functionality, and price.
Nice product December 19, 2007 J. zheng (Edison, NJ) I have been using it for six month. Very satisfied so far. Non-stick and good cook.
Works Well, a bit messy September 14, 2007 eshopper (San Francisco, CA) This is a nice looking rice cooker. It's stylish. It cooks rice well. Hard to make a mistake. I like the steamer feature, too. It does get messy, though. It runs over some and I've taken to setting it on a baking sheet to catch the drips. That's somewhat annoying. Aside from that, it's an excellent product.
cuisinart crc 400 rice cooker August 23, 2007 Casey Coulon (tempe arizona) Fine product - cooks rice very well. Very compact.
only draw back is water tends to bubble out when cooking as lid is not that tight.
