Watch portion size June 27, 2010 A. Thompson (Dallas, TX USA) I'm a big guy trying to get smaller, so when my wife cooked me a box of this for my dinner, I was really happy because it had such a good taste and was healthy for me. The only problem was that I ate the whole box--nearly 800 calories!!! It was just one plate full too; the linguine is thin. And with added tofu and pasta sauce, I probably tipped 1000 calories on the meal. I had to spend 2 hours on the treadmill out of guilt; plus I had a lot of energy, and 2 hours working out seemed like nothing with these healthy complex carbs in my body. Great food, but watch how much you eat.
Darn good, but... June 19, 2010 Dave Bedini (Greensboro NC) I grew up in an Italian household. Pasta was the staff of life. Being a celiac, not a good thing. So, I'm grateful for this linguine. It's the best I've tried of the gluten free stuff. No, it's not indistinguishable from normal noodles, and it can't hold a candle to my home-made pasta, but it's good enough to eat. It's not cheap, even in quantity it costs at least three times as much as wheat pasta, but that's still doable, and the alternative of never having a dish of linguine with clam sauce, or my home made red sauce, well, I'll wince and pay.
best yet! March 20, 2010 Elizabeth A. Lombard (Plattsburgh NY) My husband is a celiac, while I am not. I refuse to cook separate meals for just the two of us. We've tried a variety of GF pastas...but Quinoa is the best by far. It's consistency / color & flavor are as close to wheat pasta as we have found. And with the push to go "whole grain"...it's been an easy switch. Since I usually by this product by the case, I often will give friends a box to try for themselves. I highly recommend this pasta line of products; you don't have to be a celiac to enjoy it!
Great product March 4, 2010 J. Donahue (Wellington, OH) We have enjoyed this product very much, the linguine is deliceous prepared any way you like your pasta.
Good But $$$$ March 4, 2010 Janet Okeefe (Farmingdale, NY) I bought this product because my husband loves Quinoa, I know this product is made from corn as well. I have to say, I have made this 3 times already and while it is very good, I can not stop this Liguine from STICKING together in clumps! I have tried olive Oil still no luck. The Package states DO NOT OVERCOOK, but I think I will overcook it to see if I have no more clumps.
