The only way I can describe this product is to say "thick." It is heavy, thick, and does a good job of filling you up, which I attribute to the fiber content. The problem is that it also tastes "thick" to me - not very tasty or palate-pleasing. If you want something to satiate hunger for a period of time, but don't mind it really not having an appealing taste, this may be the product for you.

These Balance bars are great for warmer climates. The bar does not melt like coated bars, its consistency is similar to a Tootsie roll. The taste reminded me of the old school Power Bars from the 90s. The flavor is decent, I like that it has a little texture.
I would rate it higher if it had a little more protein. This bar has 9 grams of protein, is 170 calories, and 23 grams of carbohydrates. On the plus side, it doesn't have any chemical sweeteners. The sweetener used is "evaporated cane juice invert syrup", whatever that is.

I am one of the many thousands of people who persist in their search for a tasty nutrition bar. My request for these bars was part of that long-standing process. Alas, I must report that these bars were really quite awful and, essentially, inedible. I gave them two stars because they are, reportedly, healthy...although I am not entirely sure what that means in the context of these bars. If you're looking for a tasty and nutritious health bar, look elsewhere and, if you find something that you really like, please let me know.

Made with all-natural ingredients. There is no High Fructose nor Gelatin to be found here! The taste is solid and they are a good size for an energy bar. This product is highly recommended. Eat one before you go workout!

This product is unlikely to change anyone's mind about energy bars: If you don't like them, you still won't. That said, this one has a good mix of ingredients, and thus an interesting blend of textures and flavors.
For an energy bar, anyway.
