Good O shaped cereal for kids June 19, 2007 GF in Tempe (Tempe, AZ) My son loves these, thank goodness. They hold up well in soymilk for ceral in the morning and also hold up well in snack bags. He is constantly needing 'O' shaped cereal for projects at school, and these work great. They are a bit sweet, but he doesnt mind.
Non-cardboard gluten-free cereal April 3, 2007 J. A. Odell (Connecticut, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I almost didn't buy this from my local high-end grocery store because the price was so outrageous, but I'm glad I decided to go for it. This is one of the better gluten-free cereals I've had. It is not just like Cheerios, of course, but it has a pleasant taste of its own with just the right amount of sweetness added to make it flavorful. It doesn't get soggy immediately like some gluten-free cereals, nor does it have that familiar "cardboard" texture those of us with celiac know all too well. This product seems to have avoided the usual gluten-free problems, and I give the makers credit for that.
I think it could have a little more cinnamon taste to it -- of course, I can always just add some myself -- and the price is still high compared to similar gluten-free cereals, regardless of where you buy it, but I think it's definitely worth trying if you're on a gluten-free diet and need something palatable. I'll buy this again.
Not Cheerios but Passable February 4, 2007 Bel (Sacramento, CA) This GF cereal is decent. Doesn't get soggy easily and is relatively good.
I was a huge fan of Apple Cinnamon Cheerios before going gluten free, and these really don't compare well, but the cereal doesn't taste like cardboard and doesn't have the weird gluten free taste to it, and is actually pretty good.
Great GF cereal! January 4, 2007 HarrisonsMom (Slidell, LA) This cereal, while not EXACTLY the same as Cheerios, is VERY VERY close and even my husband, who is not GF, eats it! It is perfect for GF families, especially those with a toddler who is needing to eat cereal and be Gluten Free! Good buy for the price also!
