5 out of 5 stars Good bread!!   July 12, 2010
sam
I made it according to the directions for oven baked (don't have a bread machine)and it rose up beautifully and baked into a great loaf of bread. I will bake it a little longer next time as it was a little soft in the middle, but it makes fabulous toast. None of that horrible blandness associated with gluten free bread. I will order again.

5 out of 5 stars best bread made   June 16, 2010

My husband loves this bread. I make it twice a week with the bread maker. Easy to make and taste soooo good. Love the taste of little chocolate in it. Great healthy bread...

5 out of 5 stars Great bread   June 8, 2010

I have been gluten free for over 10 years, and have reluctantly tried every bread you can buy. This is by far the best bread I have ever tasted. It has flavor and texture, it toasts well and freezes great too. I slice it thin and freeze for sandwiches, then take out what I need for lunch. At work I pop it in the toaster to warm it up and I have a wonderful sandwich. Something I haven't had in years. I add extra sesame seeds to the mix. I make this in my Zojirushi bread machine on a gluten free bread pre-programmed cycle. Perfect loaf every time.

4 out of 5 stars Delicious bread, very large loaf   May 24, 2010
Foodie McCook (Overland Park, KS)
I love this bread. I made it in my bread machine, and it was wonderful. The only problem was that the loaf was too big for my machine and overflowed onto the heating coil. I smelled smoke, and black smoke was rolling out of the machine. I opened the lid and turned on the fan and let the cycle finish. Of course, I couldn't trust that the bread had gotten done, so I put the whole pan from the machine into the oven at 375 degrees for about 15 minutes. It turned out wonderfully in spite of the mess and the smoke.

My husband ate it fresh from the oven and so did I and my mother, and we all loved it. The texture is rough and moist, with lots of seeds, etc., exactly the kind of bread I love. Before I decided to try gluten-free, I was eating Sara Lee 100% Multi-Grain. This is rather similar to that. It does have a mild rye taste, which is fine with me, but if you want a white or wheat taste, you might not enjoy the rye flavor. It also has a very faint onion powder flavor which I could do without and don't know why they put in, but still it is a great bread for sandwiches, toast or to eat with soup or stew.

I'm going to try the other "Wonderful" mix by the same maker.

With this one, next time I will let the bread machine do the mixing and then divide it into two loaf pans to rise and bake in the oven and skip the overflow and burning and smoke.
