This is an excellent cutting board and worth every penny. It is just the right size for my needs and I can easily lift it with one hand. It is very beautiful so I keep it on the counter leaning up against the wall and it makes me smile every time I see it. The bambo is so hard that my good Wusthof knives don't scar it at all and I am able to wash it with hot water, soap, and a brush after each use so I know that it stays clean. I gave it a wipe down with mineral oil when I got it about 5 weeks ago and I dry it with a towel after washing. So far no warping or cracking.

I really liked the finish on this cutting board... nice and smooth, yet extremely solid. My problem is that the cutting surface area is too tight to do any serious work. You have to realize that the dimensions listed are measured at the center extremities... it tapers off considerably. I'll be returning this and reordering, one size up.

The 13.8 x 11 board is smooth like glass, strong, yet lightweight. The surface looks like a spot drawing. I've never seen a bamboo board so I guess that's what bamboo is supposed to look like. The board is non-porous; water runs off in big droplets. I covered it with mineral oil as the directions stated and the surface is still non-porous and looks about the same color. I've had the board a few weeks and used it a few times and it seems to be well constructed. Totally Bamboo sent the cutting board wrapped in a pretty straw bow.
