Just like the REAL thing! May 30, 2010 J. Potters (Southern Ohio) Wow! The first time we bought this pasta was when we found out our whole family has celiac disease. We all love pasta, so we had to find an alternative. So happy we went with this brand :) It has a great texture and cooks really well. You can't tell it is not regualar pasta. We tried other brands b/c the only place we can get this is in columbus, or online. But other brands have nothing on Tinkyada pasta. For me and my family it will be Tinkyada brand from now on! Kudo's to the wonderful person who made the recipe <3
Better than any other I've found January 16, 2010 Curie-ous This is great pasta. It's as close to normal pasta as anything I've found. Other GF pastas that are corn and/or quinoa based have an odd taste and a grainy texture. Other rice pastas are somewhat delicate and you have to be extremely careful with the cook time or the pasta will fall apart completely. This pasta is quite sturdy (for lack of a better word) in that you don't have to watch the cook time as closely. I have cooked the shells (and other shapes like penne and fusilli) more than ten times, and I have never had this brand fall apart and turn to mush - even when mixing in melted cheese to make a homemade mac & cheese. The texture is similar enough to regular wheat pasta that you can hardly tell a difference. The flavor is also very similar to that of normal pasta. I have only used the "energy-efficient" cooking method on the front of the package (you bring the water to a boil, add pasta and boil for a minute then remove from heat and cover for 8-10 minutes), so I cannot say whether the pasta holds up as well when it is cooked using the standard boiling method.
Tasty & holds it's shpe well! October 25, 2009 Silvio's restaurant (usa) This pasta holds up to the highest standards of a FUSSY Ltalian cook!
HOlds its shape takes the sauce perfectly! My Gluten sensitive & regular patrons, & as well as myself love it!
Great GF Pasta August 10, 2009 Bamjoker (Michigan) These shells are fantastic, except for the starch in the water from boiling I wouldn't know these aren't wheat based. They cook well and taste good. They have no texture issues. They are a great product.
Tasty July 30, 2009 tmarinella This is my first rice pasta purchase and I am not disappointed. Nice taste and texture.
